Competencies
Qualifications
Qualified graduate engineer in Electrical Engineering. Masters Degree/Chartered Engineering status is a plus.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering consultancy firms, including substantial site experience.
Experience in Middle East projects will be highly preferred.
Business Development
Develop a network of contacts on each contract. Concentrate on developing a unified commitment of excellence in dealing with site and design team colleagues.
Project Role
- Works independently and as part of a team to complete specific supervision activities assigned.
- Review electrical shop drawings, calculations, and method statements.
- Conduct site inspections when needed to ensure construction complies with approved designs.
- Providing technical input and experiences to resolve any electrical related issues on site that may arise.
- Installation, Testing and Commissioning of ELV and Low Current systems such as CCTV, Tel/Data, Intercom, Access control system, Lighting control system, Disable toilet Alarm, Fire Alarm System, VESDA, Central Battery System, etc.
- Liaising and corresponding daily with the design team, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Supporting supervision and coordination of project documentation and filing systems
- Receiving and managing all project-related correspondence
- Implementing the project QA procedures and CDM requirements
- Monitoring project progress, deadlines, and resolving design/detailing issues in coordination meetings
Company Role
- Have an understanding of our Business plan, mission statement and key challenges.
- Contribute to the development of company procedures by taking an active role in task groups.
- Attend team meetings and play an active role in the development of procedures within your team.
- Review and comment on company procedures using the feedback system.
- Applying policies relating to health & safety, quality and training
Engineering Function
- Agree design philosophy/design fundamentals.
- Review and comment on deliverables produced by Engineers & Technicians at key stages through a project.
- Demonstrates all round technical competence.
- Have knowledge of concept design, buildability, detailed design, construction techniques, procurement routes, risk assessment and claim assessment.
- Have knowledge of analytical concepts.
- Should be responsible for Quality Management (QA) for their team.
- Have knowledge of our delivery in CAD standards and 3D working.
QHSE Responsibilities
- Understand, implement and follow 9E QHSE policies.
- Implement and coordinate QHSE procedures in your workplace.
- Comply with local regulatory authority guidelines and laws pertaining to QHSE.
- Report any QHSE incidents immediately to 9E QHSE Dept. and to legal authorities if required.
- Abide Client/Contractor QHSE requirements and acquire site induction before mobilizing at sites.
